Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus fibre Lyocell is a pure wonder of natural goodness and human ingenuity.

It is made of responsibly sourced eucalyptus wood through a so-called “closed loop” process that respects the environment. The eucalyptus wood is reduced to pulp producing a cellulosic material that is then pressed through spinnerets (resembling shower heads) transforming the cellulose into smooth fibres.

These fibres, dear ladies, have pretty amazing characteristics. They are exceptionally smooth and soft, they are super breathable and their shine resembles that of the full moon on a starry night.

Sensify - Eucalyptus

What exactly does that mean for us mortals?

It means that Eucalyptus Lyocell will please even the most sensitive skins and that its smoothness not only conveys a flattery shine and drape to the woven or knitted fabric but also that the fibre efficiently absorbs and then releases body moisture, making it thermo-regulating.

Which of course also means Eucalyptus Lyocell will keep you feeling cool on hot summer days. Oh, and Eucalyptus fibre is also anti-bacterial since it doesn’t stay humid, giving less opportunity for bacteria to develop on its surface…

TENCEL® Lyocell received a number of awards and certifications, including the European Ecolabel, European Award for the Environment, PEFC Chain of Custody certification and Oekotex standard 100.
